The softness of your image is very nice and I love the oil paint treatment. The two daisies are a bit too symmetrical for my taste but I guess the reason for them is to evoke the composition of the original painting. Like Georgianne's image, yours makes me feel like Spring can't be too far away and makes me smile. Nicely done! |

Thanks Fran-this image is a lot easier on my eyes than last month's! It's impressive that your background image is a stack of 13 images. True tenacity on your part. The color pallet is nice. Those bright orange fungi are very cool. You did a great job editing and placing the fairies. My only suggestion would be to make the shadows a bit longer, especially on the right fairy since the wings are so large. They seem like they would cast a larger shadow than just right under their feet. I commend all the work you did here. Well done! |

If it was unusual for you to have a vision of what you wanted to create beforehand, and if you accomplished that vision with your process, then you were successful. It's a peaceful image and I like the color combo of purple and the one orange flower. I do like Steve's heron addition as a stronger focal point. If you just wanted to keep it as a floral image though, perhaps making the one orange flower quite a bit larger would address the focal point issue. The hope of Spring to come that this image evokes is lovely. Feels nice! |

We've had many discussions about shadows in previous months. I like your shadows in this image. They're strong harsh shadows, and since the light on the wall is also strong and coming from the front of the image, the shadows make nice sense to me. Unlike most of your pieces, this one doesn't draw many emotions or questions from me, so I'm at a bit of a loss for words to critique it. Your title doesn't give any clues as to what you wanted to say with this image, but your technical processes were well done here, as always. |

This is a fun way to give your granddaughter a memory as she imagined it. I agree with Alan that her face is too ruddy -- undoubtedly a result of being in the red phone booth. I like the quirkiness of the sunflowers, but I think the whole scene would come together and she wouldn't look so pasted in if you took a photo of her hands and arms so that you could add them in to look like she was actually placing the flowers behind the sheep's ears. They're in close enough proximity that the proportions should work. Fun and sweet image! |

Your central figure is lovely. You're right, she does smile with her whole face. She is the light that's emerging from the doom and gloom around her. Your image is extremely impactful and speaks to the entire world at this point in our journey past this dark time. Your layering and manipulation techniques are wonderfully done here; you are the master. Kudos Steve! |
