This looks like a fun image to shoot. It would be fun, since you titled it as you did, to do a composite with the image as the sky. Some funky alien craft in he foreground comes to mind. The colors are really nice and your crop appeals to me. |

I agree with all the other comments about the size of the bird. The texture was a very nice addition and the light rays are cool. Well done! |

Gull muggings -- that's a hoot! I'd want to have mine hot and in comfort too, but it would be fun to watch other people get "mugged" in the Whitby tradition. :-) |

I too find your Original 3 to be my favorite version. It looks like something mysterious (other worldly) that you came upon in the moonlight. The detail in the lacy foliage in the foreground of your Original 1 is very nice, but it didn't survive the processing. I do like that your final version looks like it's being lit up from below. Nice effect. |

I like your end result, Candy. You chose the perfect combination of filters to fix the background and to enhance her eyes and skin. I especially like the juxtaposition of the grunge background and her black clothing with the light, sweet look of her face. It draws the viewer in to her story. |

You are so right about the addictive aspect of experimenting with the twirl effect. This image is a beautiful and creative application of it. I love that you placed the angle not quite straight up and down; very dynamic. Your niece's face is lovely and fits perfectly where you placed it. The green V shape under her chin is so much darker/stronger than her face that it takes my eye away from her face, but the overall ethereal effect of the image is really beautiful. Well done! |

I love your image, Steve. The outline effect really takes the scene into a storybook feeling and it really makes me want to visit your village. Since there are so many gulls there, the prominence of your gull seems to work and I like that you reduced the opacity of his body, so the buildings came through. Since you didn't use the same process on the Goth that you did with everything else, she seems a bit out of sync, for me. It would be interesting to see what she would look like with the same process applied to her. You did a great job pulling in all the various parts. Very creative and charming! |

Thanks Georgianne. Sorry, I don't know of any PC based photo editors similar to iColorama. I just did a Google search myself, but didn't come up with anything that looked promising. It's a fabulously fun app and it has so many pre-set filters that I can literally play with a single photo for hours and still keep coming up with new effects that I haven't seen in any other program. |
