Fun image Helen! You did a great job turning day into night, and I like your idea of giving the tufas other-worldly colors. I'd like to see the moon way bigger and then the light from it could have more of an affect on the newly colored portions. Then you could use a gradient fill in the masked areas to make the rocks darker on the side away from the moon and lighter on the side facing the moon. Now that you've worked with layer masks, a whole new world awaits! Well done! |

You did a fantastic job of merging the two parts of the tree, Christine. And you brought out the tree's texture inside the hole behind the boy very nicely. I agree with Steve's and Candy's tighter crop. The bird seems too close to the edge of the photo, for me. Since you had more space in your original photo of the bird, I think if you gave him a bit more breathing room on the right side, he would be noticed easier. A vignette mostly in the lower left corner seems to bring more attention to the upper right area where all the action is. |

The mood and feeling of this image is lovely Georgianne. I do agree with the previous comments and revisions about there being a lot going on. To my eye, it seems like the size of the flying bird could be reduced by quite a bit. I also reduced the opacity of my revised smaller bird to 73%. I really like the way you made the boats fade into the background, and the monochromatic effect of them works nicely. Very peaceful image. |

Very nice, Phil. Silly me, but it took me awhile to realize there were two people sitting on the bench; I thought it was one umbrella that was half black/half leopard. I agree with Candy about the white spot in the water. I also might have cloned out the other bench arm in the lower left corner. The mood you've pulled out in this image is lovely. |

You've done a really nice job with this flower, Candy. The lighting and detail is much improved, and I like the sepia tone. I like Steve's version too. I think if you stay with just a single blossom, a tighter crop might work well. This is a very calming image, full of mood. Nice! |

I like your result here very much Steve. I love the way the wisp of hair is blowing across her chin; nice capture. Your idea of doing hot and cold is fun and you executed it beautifully. I kind of like the texture across the bottom. When I first looked at the image, the cold side looked like rain or sleet rather than snow, but that doesn't matter in the overall effect. Well done. Maybe you've mentioned Anthropics Portrait Pro before, but I don't remember it. I'm blown away by the photo editing software you have and use. I trudge along with what's inside PS and On1. |
