John, I am often not trying to "say" anything, but instead creating a mystery, a mood or feeling, which may leave the viewer perplexed and wondering. I think stories belong more in journalistic and travel photography. |

I agree; the white wires are an interference. |

Nancy, I like the composition with the boat where you place it, but the painting filter, as it is, ruins it for me. Perhaps a different painter style--Degas, Corot, Seurat--or blending it with the original at reduced opacity, or masking the original back in some areas might work. Worth a try. |

Welcome to the group, Alan. Excellent job of selecting the car, man, signs and arranging them in the landscape. I like the mist, but not the hand and windmill which seem to me arbitrary. It's surrealistic enough w/o them. Very fine work on the edges of the selections, esp. the car windows so that the grass shows through. |

The camera movement works fine for me in the whole image, except for the much faster movement of the player in white who becomes just a white smudge (except for the arm reaching for the basket). If you have another shot with a player in a similar position but not so blurred, you might try masking it in in place of the white blur. It could make an interesting composite. |

A very good drawing rendering of the image. If you did no editing, the this single filter rendering is really adequate and successful. I like the retouched bits of color. |

Well done, strongly graphic poster for an event of the group. The zig-zag cuts and displacements and the change b/w color and b&w draw and hold the viewer's attention. I can see it blown-up large on the wall of a hall. |

Very nice, Joan. It looks almost natural, a strange coloring on a cat. Only when I look closely I notice the difference in the eyes. The ears are different too, but some detail in the blackness may disappeared so it looks possible. The Jekyll and Hyde cat. |
