I might try to simplify it, at least: |

Interesting subject. I am not sure about the angle. Of course, I didn't see the pole and don't know whether shooting from a greater distance was possible, but for me, the composition is off. The image is so busy outside of the pole, that I am looking at the cables around the pole that are intersected with some diagonal bars and create angles around the pole ... oh, my! Than there is another layer with carving on the pole and it competes with the all the diagonals around. Too busy and I am not sure what is the subject here - the pole itself or the structure around. Of course, my opinion is subjective. |

Funny. That's the case when the title makes the image. Funny. |

I like this image. Definitely good for a travel category. For me, the eyes are overdone a bit - too bright and do not look natural. Besides that, excellent capture. |

I like the kite on the tree, but the background is too busy. Easier said than done, but trying a different angle might help. Other than that, good capture. |

Agree with Sol. I might have nightmares too if I look at this image for too long :) --Nice sharp image. Image stacking is beautifully implemented. I've attended a George Lepp's presentation on Macro Photography at the Fotoclave last month and he was explaining how he photographs bugs, which was quite interesting. Unfortunately, I couldn't find his article online, but I found one about photographing snowflakes which describes his studio setup that he also uses for photographing bugs: https://www.cognisys-inc.com/how-to/stackshot/snowflakes/snowflakes.php

That's not necessarily a ruler, but the reflections are outstanding. Maybe a mirror or a glass surface (black glass if you could find one) would be very interesting to experiment with. Thanks for this image, you gave me an idea for the experiment. I want to try reflections on a black glass, if I can find it, of course :) |

It's an interesting experiment. Of course, I could spot wrong order for orange and yellow. I understand that the goal was to create a rainbow which worked well, but the bottom part with the ruler looks to me much more exciting. I would crop out the background heavily, something like below: |
