I like the depth of field in this image. There is foreground, then the wave, then water than the horizon, etc. However, since I live near the ocean and see it every time I am there, the image looks like an everyday image and there is nothing special there. Maybe that's just me. |

I am puzzled with this image because the maker didn't finish his job in selecting the subject. My eye goes up and down. I like the sky, I like the field. You can crop out the bottom part of the image making the sky the subject and the photo looks great. You can crop out the top of the sky and you'll have an excellent image where the field is the subject. Leaving the horizon in the middle shifts the job of selecting the subject to the viewer and that's a painful choice for me to choose what I like better. That spoils my impression - I'd rather have the maker making this choice and I would just enjoy the image. |

That's hilarious! I don't know whether there are other signs on the wall and in real life the message is not there, but what you've done in this photograph is just perfect. Cause and effect in one photo. Perfect! |

It's a tough subject to shoot. I've seen the same kind of images razor sharp and they are much more interesting in my opinion. Don't even know if that's possible to do in a field or you need to do it in a studio with focus stacking. |

Agree with Lee.
To become Ed Weston just add a nude and you'll replicate his style. His grandson Kim Weston is alive, lives at Ed's "Wildcat" place and shoots nudes with plants - see his photo here: http://slickpic.us/1475835NhNE

It's an amazing shot and amazing post-processing. I like everything - my only 2 cents are to remove a greenish cast. It makes the image a little bit muddy. But that's minor. Great shot!

I've seen this kind of mud pots in New Zealand, therefore easily recognized what it is. It's a fun shot and it's good as is. |

The balloon was there for real. Of course, it was underexposed since I was shooting against the sun, but until I've brightened it up a lot it didn't look good. It does look like inserted, however. |
