I tried to crop the image. It is not a great job. I think . The flower needs to be cropped more. The problem is, perhaps from all the file copies and conversion the noise and sharpness are not good. I was editing this, probably at the same time as Mark posted his remarks. It seems we have some of the same corrections. |

The image is very soothing. The blue shadow of the bowl and shadow of the contents have some interesting shapes within. The dark shadow lines on the table form a sort of framing effect for the bowl and its shadow. Something about the different lines, circles and shapes and textures as they are in this photo seem very pleasing. I would not change a thing except for seeing it without the right shadow. |

Interesting Story and composition. I thought some Change in contrast and increased sharpening of the birds would help. |

This is a very interesting image. I agree with the other comments, but the image seems very busy, and so it is somewhat hard to find a focus. I think it would be better if the background was more clearly separated from the foreground (the subject I assume). This could probably be done with both having different shading or by different focus. The placements, Sharpness and subject would be a great photo or Poster for the Steampunk Festival. |

I love it, heck with Camera Club prejudices. I agree that you captured the spirit of those times. There is a couple, lone guy, short order cook (or soda jerk), all seem focused and engaged. The mystery is what or who is behind the glass door. Almost looks posed. I think the grunge look seems to add to the intended time period as well as what seem to be muted colors. The DOF seems just right, foreground Sharp to the end of the diner til it blurs. I think the wide angle helped make this effect just right. The angle of the path through to diner is perfectly placed. Unbelievable clarity of the subjects at .3 sec.. I was at that museum and do not remember the cafe. Very nostalgic and interesting.
Great Shot and editing. ! |
