After glancing at the photo I read Mark's remarks and thought they said exactly what I was thinking. I then read Bunny's note and notied she agrees also. The suns reflection in the water is also noteable. In my minds's eye I tried different framing and shades of lights and darks as I usually do and could think of nothing I would think is better. Nice shot. I did not know a Nikon made a point and shoot- and do not know how you got the ISO, Speed and aperature adjusted, or is it a fixed setting ? |

Nice spia image and sets a story about a rustic old post office with character. The air conditioner brings it up to the 20th century. I guess you could leave it in or out depending on what you want to say. |

Fascinating and obviously worth preparing for. Amazing that you were on a boat, but the ISO and speed seem just right. As I look at it with the subject which is smack in the center with that perfect narrow white frame it seems to be perfectly composed. Another good exception to standard rules of composition- eexcept perhaps that of symetry. The shapes in the corona seem mezmerizing. Great catch and lesson in astronomy. The NASA picture link now read error 404- I could not resist looking after reading your descriptions and will look further. Thank you. |

I first did not see much in the image because there seemed to be no subject and the lines were off to the side. After seeing Bunny's correction, I can see very clearly the leading lines, accentuation of the first pole and the sunset with the recomposition. Amazing transformation. |

Thanks Bunny for taking the time. AI has it's limitations since I used that to replace background. I could not get the Bird any sharper, but since the beach is so sharp it leaves questions about DOF-Outside part of wing not sharp but the beach is much further away. Not sure about the sidewise hypothesis. The drone can fly sideways. I like the unique idea of the solo bird with black background. |

Thanks. I did not notice initially that you corrected this so I had already tried. |

Bruce, I think the explanation attached to Mark's image is the wrong one. |
