43 Jan 24 Reply Just reread my remark. Sounds like I am preaching to the Choir. Jan 17th
43 Jan 24 Reply Thanks Andrew. Jan 16th
43 Jan 24 Reply I use that Topaz suite also but not selective sharpen often. Good to know about its versatility. Jan 14th
43 Jan 24 Comment Great, focus, glint in the eye. I think I have the right bird, but if I recall, the species is a bird that ducks underwater, swims many feet away and pops up where you do not expect them. You caught it well and in the act of self hygein. No shadows, some action, colo, sharp and clear. Nice shot, at a respectable distance. You sure got it. Jan 13th
43 Jan 24 Comment First Glance-was excellent High Key almost Minimalistic Photography. Sort of Hybrid but very very fun. Jan 13th
43 Jan 24 Comment Very Nice Catch. First I do not know what kind of image stabilization you have on your camera, Camera lens and your torso but how you got that clarity of desired image with the speed 1/80 sec and even with 24 mm, on a moving boat in High speed winds with an acceptable ISO without appreciable noise could only have been calculated with an abacus. Kind of an abstract although the aligator seems to be the clear subject. Great catch although it took some desired repeated observation to truely appreciate. Like it. Jan 13th
43 Jan 24 Comment The timing is impecable, settings seem just right. Agree with all the above. Hong Kong Chamber of Comerece or equivalent, I agree. Jan 13th
43 Jan 24 Comment Agree. Seems to excellent photojournalism. I cannot focus through the tumult. The countryside is at an awkward angle, it is difficult to locate the origins or direction of the forceful wave. Although it looks like the wave is going up and the helicopter is veering away, there is a kicker- the seagulls. : one is sitting seemingly calmly on top of the pole and other seems to be flying into the wave. I am wondering what the dialog about the News article might be. Jan 13th
43 Jan 24 Comment Then Again, maybe the group did as I did and had the description of Wabi Sabi and pointed out the elements that fit. Interesting use of a model. Nice one Mark. Models just help others structuralize and better understand your artistic vision.

43 Jan 24 Comment I had another delay. Computer Freeze.
When I first saw the picture I tried to fit it into different compositional models in my head and could not understand why it attracted me. The colors, juxtaposition, brown spots on the leaves, could not tell. I must say, reading about Wabi Sabi, brought up by Bunny, describing the state of beauty even with decay as colors even in decay, as Lane mentioned, gives me a mental image of why I like it. A new composition type for me. Thank you all. Funny, the descriptions by our group kind of pointed to each characeristic separately that forms the concept. - I Think. The positions, colors, contrast, focus, decay all seem to add up to the aforementioned concept. Interesting !!!

43 Jan 24 Comment Thanks Bunny, Mark and Bruce for the suggestions. I did think some painterly look was how to salvage the lens problem and all the renditions seem to each have their merit. Bunny mentioned Topaz effects. and after looking Into it I found that Topaz stopped expanding Topaz Studio 2. I found the program and it said if you you owned effects from Topaz, you could download it for free. I have Topaz AI so I thought it might qualify me. I downloaded it and it crashed my Photo Ai and wanted me to pay for another year of my purchased program. I emailed Topaz then deleted both programs and reinstalled photo Ai. Now it works. Topaz wrote back promptly and apologized for the difficulties, giving me Studio 2 for being a good customer.
It adds even more interesting painterly effects as Bunny had said.
Also I am impressed with customer support at Topaz. I was away for a while so I have not spent time with the other images from the group yet.

43 Jan 24 Reply Glad I did not discard this photo. New software brings new life. Jan 11th
43 Jan 24 Reply Thank You Lane Jan 7th
43 Jan 24 Reply Always OK. Thank you for the suggestion Bunny. Welcome ! Jan 7th
43 Jan 24 Comment I just noticed that by flipping the plane horizontally I got a mirror image of the number. Still looks better flipped I think. Jan 6th
