43 Jul 23 Comment This basic image renders perfectly in B & W. Rich tones an contrast. I also like the sun in the image emerging from the trees. Clouds are full and fluffy also with a nice tonal array. Although your crop shows more shadow and the uphill position, Mark's crop is more traditional. Not sure I can tell the steep long slope to the top. It is a tossup to me which sceen is more pleasing. Good eye Lane. Jul 16th
43 Jul 23 Comment Ditto as usual. I think it is a very nice landscape. I do not see the over exposed clouds on my screen unless the ones Mark is referring to are the distant clouds near the horizon, but they seem to fade appropriately to me. I do agree with Linda's crop. The symetry seems to work for this shot as opposed to having the horizon accentuating the foreground or background . Nice Shot. Jul 16th
43 Jul 23 Comment Marvelous character shot. So this is where Santa Claus vacations and makes money for all those toys.The deep brown reddish face speaks of long periods in the sun or alcoholism. Makes me wonder what is really in the bottle. Is he a down and out happy street person with all his belongings? As Bruce says he does have an expensive looking phone.I wonder which mobile phone plan he may use. I like the positioning of his left hand also and wonder what he sees on the phone. The fact that it leaves me with all those questionsmakes it a wonderful street photo. Technically also well done ! Jul 16th
43 Jul 23 Comment Great photo. Also cute. Sharp, nice reflection and ripples. It makes me think of Fido showing me a ball to throw. I do like the asymetry in Marks shot but the rock may be better off gone. a great shot Bruce. Jul 16th
43 Jul 23 Comment As above and also the hands have character. They seem to tell a story of being careful (the meticulous nails) delicate, gentle, genteel and devoted with the wedding ring up front. Mark-nice job with the whole process. Jul 16th
