Thank you Linda. I must confess that I was driving around looking for an old barn. I like this crop especially because it does seem that the roof is a distraction. |

I am afraid I cannot add much to what has been said so far. The benefit of being later to respond. Beautiful landscape where the road directs you through the city. Colors are also beautiful. Wonderful. |

Beautiful ! I am not sure I see the birds in the original shot but they do seem to add a lot also. I can sure picture sitting relaxed and watching this scene. You edited the overbearing white sky and Glaring sun. It is truly a pleasant interesting image. Over the fireplace if you have one. I do like Marks rendition a lot. It also draws my eyes from the lighthouse to the birds and sky. The additional motion improves it even more. |

Nice shot. Good shades of B & W. Sharp with good positioning, I think. So many different lines between its feathers and wooden fence. Claws are well placed and ominous, although I realize you did not pose them. Nice clear view of face and eyes. Looks like you added the background, maybe. It is a good match if so. It could be a fence or tree. It does not draw away from the Owl, obviously the main subject. ISO 4000, it still looks good on my monitor. This belongs in a magazine featuring Owls. |

I do not know Pittsburg but the shot is excellent. Position and framing and balance seem just right. I get a real flavor of the city. As Bruce said, the cable car tracks may have added. Since I do not know the area, the photo does not accentuate that so I did not know much about it. Now I wonder if it is close in terrain to San Francisco. Truly like this landscape of the city. |

Mark I do not know why I took this shot. It was part of an assignment class for composition. I thought the barn with added texture and the image leading inside may have met criteria for good composition. The class was complimentary but there was one thing I picked up from this class- before rules of composition, see how I feel about the image and whether I like it or not. I am not especially pleased with this one. I guess that seeps through. |
