43 Nov 18 Comment I feel cold looking at it. Good lines and catch of the wind and the lighthouse. I guess we all have to get in the act. There are obviously different ways to recompose this interesting shot. I distorted and warped the image so there is a zig zag line from the pole to the closest light band then leading to the lighthouse. Actually they all look good. I do think the trees are a distraction though and thus unnecessary. Nov 20th
43 Nov 18 Comment I also love the composition and tones. The leading staircase line is especially interesting and leading. It is unusual because you did not do the usual complete spiral. I like the intricate swirl pattern attaching the handrail to the stairs. Very appealing. Nov 20th
43 Nov 18 Comment The colors are very pleasant but I am confused as to this is a photo with a subject, like the small tree in the water, or a landscape without a specific subject. Nov 20th
43 Nov 18 Comment Very interesting and it captures some character. I wonder if there is a way to lessen some shadow and highlight the false leg. I hate to say it, but I can smell this guy's sweat. Background is probably not blurred or darkened enough tto not be noticed as much. Good street character study. Nov 20th
43 Nov 18 Comment I like the tones, story and composition. I do like it cropped with less water in foreground. The blur of the background to decrease depth of field sounds good but would be difficult to do well. There is a way with photoshop to select the subject then on another layer, blur the background and add a layer mask. Then use the gradient tool on the mask. That way you can control the blurr to make it more gradual and like lowering DOF. I do feel like I am there, but it does look like a hard life. Very magnetic. Nov 20th
