I have been to Joshua NP many times as it is a fascinating place to wander as well as to photograph. At first I didn't care for your color rendition but the more I studied it my mind changed and appreciate what you did as you altered a "conventional" shot into something that holds the viewers attention. The colors are subtle so they appear more natural. I have "played" around with color IR and even took a class on line. If you are interested let me know and I will go into more detail. |

Infrared shows the details throughout the scene as a conventional b/w or color probably wouldn't. It is a beautiful scene especially with the dark tree on the left side which is a nice contrast to all the bright foliage around the pool. |

Since I really enjoy railroad pictures I like the scene. I'd like to see the railroad part lighter as the bright buildings on the right draw the attention away from the darker train and rail yards. If your point is to tell a story about the buildings on the edge, you have achieved that. maybe on your next walk you can concentrate on some aspect of the railroad. |

The white border is fine as it is not a really wide one but something that holds the contents in. The overhanging roof makes the scene as the view (me) stop and look and wonder why and what was the purpose. What you did to the original makes the cabin more isolated. It is an interesting picture. |
