The boots are the main interest in the scene with what is hanging on the wall being secondary. My suggestion is to crop out that item on the left side as it is unrelated to the rest of the scene. Your initial cropping did delete a lot and your end result is quite good considering the circumstances that you had when you took the picture. |

The palm trees are good IR subjects and you captured a pleasant arrangement of them. I feel what the scene lacks is an object that will keep the viewer in the scene. I find that I go to the large tree then go to the tree on the left and onto the next one and then out of the picture. |

It is a very nice scene but I feel cropping out the building on the left side would draw more attention to the punts and beautiful foliage on the river banks. You couldn't ask for a better punt arrangement with three in line in the foreground and several in the background including one under the bridge! Your technique in converting to the final presentation is very good, and I'm envious. |

Welcome to the group and I look forward to seeing more of your IR images. This one, for me, has two pictures separated by the open archway. In both the cacti make for interesting compositions. I like the arrangement on the right side so I cropped the scene at the edge of the archway so you have the nicely illuminate cacti, the tree, and the beautiful cloud in the sky. I'm a firm believer that an image does not have to conform to a paper size but should be sized for the best presentation. |

I wonder if George Washington ever visited his ancestral home! It is quite a beautiful building and the sculptured hedge is interesting but I feel there needs to be a center of interest and while the stone construction draws attention it is not strong enough to hold the viewer's interest for very long. |

It is probably because I like architecture that I'd like to see more of the bridge. What is seen beyond the trees is very interesting as the bridge has at least three sections including a lift section that raises to let boats travel up and down the river. There is enough of the bridge that there is a definite conflict between trees and bridge as both hold an interest. I don't know how to solve that especially when you say that construction equipment blocks a better view of the bridge. Your technique is good as there is nice color throughout. |
