Since the building has an historical aspect it is the central interest of the scene my suggestion is to crop off some of the top which would still leave enough of the trees for the scene. then tone down the bright area between the two trees on the right as it is the brightest area of the scene and detracts from the building. The scene comes alive after reading about the purpose. Without the history it is "just another rundown building." |

I like the image when I first looked at it then read how you accomplished it and am very impressed with what you did. The only aspect that mars the beauty for me are the greases in the foreground. When I cropped much of the base area I felt the boats became important, which to me are the center of interest. I do like your choice of colors for the boats with the orange colored boat standing out a bit more than the others. Great job, Helen. colors |

Interesting subject and reason for their use. Unfortunately there probably wasn't any way you could have isolated the lamps and avoid the objects in the background. One suggestion is to tone down the white sign. |

Your image is a graphic illustration of the damage a tornado can cause, Showing all the debris plus the one leaning wall really makes one feel sorry for the occupant. Not much more can be said other than you did a fine job documenting the destruction. |

I didn't notice the people until I read the write-up and once I did I started cropping both left and right edges so the people would show up better as they do indicate just how huge the castle is. The wall on the left is so massive it detracts from the rest of the castle. First I cropped all of it off (to make the scene a vertical) then adjusted the crop to include the trebuchet. I took a little off the right side stopping as the curved wall. It is truly a magnificent building but difficult to photograph. |

Probably because I've been to the Bristlecone Pine forest several times I easily recognized the subject and I like the presentation with a tree with foliage behind the dead one. The drawback may be the lack of separation between the two. Yet anyone who looks at it long enough will see how the dead tree stands out. I really don't have any suggestions as I feel the presentation is very good as it is. |
