The structure is so interesting that I wish that the tree that blocks some of the building wasn't there. (A chain saw would quickly solve the problem!) Nevertheless, your vantage point was good as you got both the path and a good part of the structure in the scene. From the looks of things there probably isn't an angle that wouldn't be blocked by a tree or three. Your conversion did justice to the scene. |

When I was involved in a local camera club judges often commented (negatively)about photographing someone else's artwork unless the picture showed the statue or building as more than just a record shot which yours is. When I first looked at your image what came to my mind was: Who is the person and is there a significance of the tablet that she is holding? Technically it is a good image as the composition is tight yet the surrounding trees, sky and clouds make for a good background. The IR conversion works to your advantage. |

The only things that mar the beauty are the buildings and autos that show through the gaps in the foliage. I don't know how to get rid of them. For me it is the tree trunk and limbs that appeal as they show the signs of age so the tree must have been around for many many years. The conversion from IR nicely brought out the textures that make the tree stand out. |

The comment that I made about Nelson's image also pertains to this one. However, this is such an unusual statue that its shape, small face, and the round sphere makes it very different. The pink background is appropriate as it is a a soft color and is a good background for the statue. |
