I have to admit that it took a while before I realized the sculpture is an airplane. I should have recognized it when you said airstrip. I'm sure the picture means more to someone who files in or out of the airfield but to a non flyer this is a good record shot of someone's work of art. I'm not sure if IR makes for a better rendition than a conventional b/w. |

It does tell a story quite well - the ghosts of the children are looking for the ghost of their mother in the cemetery - WOW. The way you added the three figures was great and the texture overlay really makes the mother ghost-like. I'm impressed with what you did. The result is a very intriguing image. |

A lot of work went into this one and the result is quite pleasing. Perhaps burning the very bright area at the top would help has it is the brightest area and detracts from looking at the globes. |

Sorry to say but I feel the same about too much blank wall as I did with your other O'Keefe image. The ladder, with its shadow, and the window on its left are the most important aspects of the scene. Making the ladder stand out relates to the Pueblos belief about a ladder to the cosmos. As I looked as the image I would crop just to the left of the window so a bit of the tree foliage is in the picture. Then crop on the right to eliminate the rain gutter. |

Looking at the scene without first reading about the area I would wonder about two things: Why is there a hole in the building wall? and What is that big rock doing on top of the smaller rocks? That large rock dominates the scene but doesn't have a relation with the building. It makes it confusing to the viewer. However, on the positive side the trees against the cloud filled sky are beautiful and I rally like that aspect. |

The boiling is a beautiful piece of architecture and you had good lighting on it that shows it off well, especially the filigrees. I particularly like the end with the shadows and wondered if you concentrated on that area and cut back on the long side. The trees on both sides introduce a nice element to the scene - a bit of nature with manmade. It is a very good subject and if it is convenient to go back I certainly would so do and focus on the end wall and enough of the side to include the dome. What I don't care for is the building in the upper left. |
