I think you proved that you don't need direct sunlight for IR as this image dramatizes what can be done on an overcast day. The more I looked at your picture the more I liked it as at first my eye kept going back and forth from the rocks to the monument. I then realized that you need both as to me the rocks symbolize nature whereas the monument, small as it is, symbolizes man made and one compliments the other. |

The scene is a little confusing to me. Is that walkway the only way into the tea house? The fact that the overhanging tree obscures the end of the walkway creates some interest as to "what lies ahead." Your conversion fro IR to b/w was well done. |

When I first looked at this my thought was that all the beauty and interest is in the door and its surroundings and that above the door is superfluous. If you cropped the scene at the roof above the door so as little of the building above is shown it would give strength to the door itself. Because of its age and condition, the toning adds a lot but I'm not sure about the border. |

This is a strong picture as the IR really sets off the old cabin. The foliage, being white, does not conflict with the building so the cabin stands out. There is so much interesting detail which you brought out very well. |
