Hi Randy, Thank you for your kind words! The couple was wonderful to work with, and though I didn't end up with a lot of shots, I spent quite a bit of time guiding them through different poses to capture the right moments. It was definitely worth it!
I'm glad the edits worked well. Removing the pole and power lines really helped create a more peaceful and focused scene.

Hi Sylvia, Thank you so much! It was a wonderful experience working with the couple, and yes, I did share several of the images with them, which they loved.
I'm glad you enjoyed the edited version! I actually did all the editing on my mobile phone, mainly brightening up the skin tones. This also gave it a softer look, which I think added to that romantic, fairy tale feel you mentioned. Sometimes just a little adjustment can transform the mood of a photo!

Randy, your "Tree in Spring" beautifully captures the essence of the season! The large tree stands out against the dark clouds, and the sunlight adds a warm touch. The contrast with the blue sky and white clouds evokes a true springtime feel. It might be interesting to see how a bit more saturation in the tree's greens could enhance the overall vibrancy. It makes me want to take a walk there right now! |

Your Winooski VT sunset image has such an intriguing mix of elements, Jim! At first glance, the sun seemed to blend into the lamp post, which caught me off guard in a really creative way. I love how the lamp stands in front of the balcony with the soft tree leaves framing the left side, adding a calm and serene evening atmosphere. The original image offers a beautiful perspective, though I personally might experiment with cropping the empty space on the right to draw more attention to the striking details. It's definitely a thoughtful composition with lots of potential! |

Your "Backyard Bloom" is such a joy to behold, Sylvia! The vibrant yellow sunflower truly captures the eye and radiates warmth and happiness. I love how the dark background makes the bloom stand out even more, almost as if it's glowing with life. It's amazing that despite the challenges of Virginia's soil and sun, this sunflower thrived, if only for a short time. You've beautifully captured that fleeting moment of nature's beauty, and it feels like a celebration of resilience and growth. |

Hi Sabine, Your image radiates such vibrant energy! The way the yellow shoes, matching pants, and that striking pair of colorful socks come together creates a perfect harmony. It feels like a joyful statement of adventure, almost like a playful nod to Ronald McDonald's iconic shoes but with a fresh, stylish twist. The yellow luggage ties it all together, giving off the vibe of someone ready to dive into a fun-filled journey. The whole composition really pops, and it's beautifully done! |

Hi Sabine, Thank you so much for your lovely observation! I'm glad the emotion and connection between the couple came through in the image. You're absolutely right about the black and white clothing - their outfits complemented each other perfectly. I also noticed she wore white sneakers, which contrasted nicely with his black shoes. It added a subtle charm to their overall look.
I really appreciate your kind words and am happy you enjoyed the photo!

Hi Douglas, You've done a great job capturing both the garden in the foreground and the carillon tower in the background, with the water nicely separating the two elements. The composition creates a sense of depth and dimension, fulfilling the assignment's challenge.

Hi Yvonne, Your photograph effectively captures the historic Lang Ice House in a modern context, creating a strong sense of contrast. Shooting at night adds depth and intrigue, while your decision to preserve the building's authenticity is commendable.
To enhance focus on the building, consider cropping the right side and adding a vignette to draw the viewer's eye. Your technical choices, including handheld shooting in low light, demonstrate skill, and your post-processing brings out crucial details.
Overall, the image successfully documents a piece of local history with character and charm. Minor adjustments could further strengthen its visual impact. |

Hi Douglas, Thank you! I completely agree - sometimes less is more when it comes to editing. It's easy to get carried away, but often just a small adjustment can bring out the best in an image. I suppose it's like finding the right balance in a sermon - sometimes a lighter touch can have the most impact!
And yes, I was lucky that the couple was so enthusiastic. It made capturing the moment even more special!
Best, Linda
