Pierre, as the eyes and face are the strongest component of this image, I took the liberty of cropping even further to eliminate the lost hair details. What do you think of this version? |

Yes. The tail hangs down about 18 inches. Keeping it in the frame would make the subjects so much smaller. I wanted the focus to be on the faces of mom and baby. |

Nice subject. But I do agree with the above comments.
Another solution is focus stacking. Some of the newer cameras have this as a built in feature. Sony provided this as a software update recently. |

The flower is nice and sharp and the colors are well saturated. The green house provided you with diffused lighting to compensate for taking the picture in the bright part of the day.
You mentioned that you cropped the image so that the flower would be centered. Ideally we don't want our subject in the center of the frame. It is far more dramatic and pleasing to the eye when our subject is off-center. Notice how Pierre's version is far more pleasing. |

You have achieved good color combination here and the bug is a bonus.
I do agree with the others that the image lacks sharpness overall. |

Considering that this is a zoo shot you have done well to eliminate the background. However I do agree with the others that there is some distraction along the edge of the head. |

The clouds are so dramatic and are enhanced by the b&w conversion. Everything in the frame is well balanced, and the S shape of the glacier is in a perfect position to draw my eye through the composition.
Well seen and well processed. |
