Thanks, Pierre. I did try to reduce the highlights but didn't do enough. |

Thanks for all your comments. Yes, it sure is exciting to observe animal behavior in the wild. |

The soft lighting is great and the Roo stands out from the background. Your 600mm lens is a win!
I like the fact that the whole image is in tones of browns except for the leaves in its mouth. |

The branches frame your subject very nicely. The Koala is sharp and well positioned.
I would crop more off the top of the frame to eliminate the bright areas and the distracting leaves on the top right.
Looking forward to seeing more pictures taken with your new camera. You should use autofocus with spot focus to concentrate on the eyes. |

Cindy, this picture captures the ahhh moment! There is great interaction between the the parents.
Your editing is really spot on by eliminating all the distracting reeds. Go AI! |

The lighting and time of day makes this image an absolute winner. Well done getting low down for this great angle.
I also agree that the waterline is slightly off - an easy correction. |

Dean, you have achieved wonderful detail and sharpness despite the amount that you had to crop. The A7R gives you a large file to be able to do that. And the close up lens also helped.
I think this is one of your best images so far! |
