Well done on experimenting and trying something new.
I find the balloon on the right to be too bright and spoils the subtle effect of the rest of the image. |

The bright pink color of the blossoms make this image for me. You are really so imaginative "seeing the pregnant woman" And adding your shadow is a nice touch. |

OOH! I really love this shot. The layers of light emphasize the fields on the hill in the background. And the crisscross of light in the foreground is wonderful.
My only suggestion would be to crop some off the right side so that the building is not right in the center. |

A simple but effective shot. Seems like you had to travel a great distance to get it! |

What a great photojournalistic travel picture. The backlighting is well handled and the rest of the people in the background portrays day to day life in a typical African village.
I also love the reflections in the water in the foreground. |

I love the peace and serenity of this scene, and I prefer your original crop as the clouds are reflected in the water.
Its amazing what a good job the cell phone does in these situations. My sunset pictures are always better on the cell phone than on my camera! |

Animals (or birds) with long tails are always a challenge to know where to crop. Keeping the tail adds too much unwanted and uninteresting background. I think I would go with Jas's suggestion of a tighter crop maybe just below the front legs.
This adds emphasis to the face and eye which is in perfect focus. |

I love the clean backgrounds that you are always able to create. This background is in perfect color harmony with the wren. I don't mind the tail being out of focus as it shows the constant movement of these birds. |

Jacob, this is your best bird picture so far. Sharpness and color are great. I would crop about half of the dead space on the right. |

The colors of the orchid are magnificent and congratulations on the perfect bokeh.
I also am enjoying the little bud peeping out on the left. |

Beautiful image of this owl, and perfectly sharp.
I too would prefer to see the background a little darker yo give more separation from the bird. |

At first glance this appeared to be a puddle in the road. Closer examination shows the clear water in the river with the lovely reflections. Your composition is spot on even adding emphasis to the stones under the water. |
