Thanks for all your suggestions. I re-copied the shoe, blurred the last lady in line and added canvas above. Does this improve the picture or create a bigger mess? |

Kirsti, you are so imaginative to see this and create such a wonderful image. The red caterpillar is in such a perfect position to complete the composition. Well done. |

Anges, the curvature of this path leading into the distance makes this picture for me. The color palette provided by the early morning light is wonderful. I would be happy to display this picture on my wall and gaze at it frequently. |

Jose, well done capturing them all in different positions. I like the composition as it is and would not eliminate any of the birds. |

Terry, I prefer your original crop as there is some light on the left sandal and right leg - very feint but just visible. Placement of the sun over the shoulder is perfect and presents a myriad of stories! |

Yes. I only noticed afterwards that the buckle is missing. I wonder if you can instruct AI to copy the other shoe? |

I love the interaction and concentration of your 2 main subjects. Jose's crop works for me too as your original has some minor defects that were fixed by this crop - the half person on the extreme left and the remains of the hand on the right edge next to the white bag. The white bag itself and the person behind the hat don't bother me, but is certainly cleaner without them. |

When I first opened this image, I saw an Iguana, which are a nuisance in our neighborhood and are often orange colored!
Bob, once again you have shown us your ingenuity and artistry to transform a mundane subject into a striking image. Well done. |

The heron is certainly very sharp. But unfortunately is lost in the bright background. I have edited your picture in photoshop to darken the background and lighten the heron. Now you can see that the emphasis is on the main subject. |

This is a great capture, definitely a decisive moment. Your Canon equipment certainly provides extremely sharp images.
I agree with Cindy's suggestion to crop some off the bottom. |

I don't like part of the feeler cut off top left, so I prefer the crop presented by Pierre. But I do prefer the out of focus background in your version. Perhaps combine the 2 versions or add the blur to the suggested crop? |

Most camera club judges would say this needs a crop from the right. But I like the composition as it is providing clean negative space on the right, the direction that the bird is looking. I might crop a little off the left side to place the kingfisher on the line of thirds. |

The beauty of infra red in my opinion is the portrayal of green leaves as white, and the crisp black and white tones. Here your leaves are all dead having fallen to the ground and so contain no chlorophyll. So I always ask myself if this image would have been better captured in the conventional way.
I understand that you are experimenting with IR and what it can do, so I think you have achieved that with your channel swapping.
The composition is interesting with the main leaf at an angle, and the bed of cypress needles. I dont think that you need the leaf on the left as it is dull and detracts from the main subject.
There are some excellent IR groups that you should look at DD35 and DD66. Keep experimenting! |
