I also prefer the hazy image as you have eliminated most of the distractions in the background. However as a dentist(retired) I do appreciate the clear view of her upper dentition in the original version! |

The complimentary colors of orange, red and green make this picture stand out. I agree that the #40 must go! Pity about the wall on the left, but it doesn't bother ne as much as the others. |

Jose, you are a master at shape and pattern. It amazes me that you can convert boring everyday subjects into works of art. Keep them coming! |

You captured the shadows at the perfect moment. And your black and white conversion is spot on. The roof shadow on the lower right is an extra bonus. Well seen and congratulations on your patience. |

You have just enough of the mother to create the interaction between the 2 which is great. They are well shown in their environment. And there are no distractions. |

The story is the rails leading to the 2 figures with the lamp and the interaction with the driver. However, there is a lot of superfluous stuff that attracts my eye, both in front and behind the engine. The street lamp is definitely a distraction which you can clone out. But the main headlamp is also very bright, but I don't know how you could correct that.
The blurred smoke or steam is really great. |

Never thought of converting to b&w, but it takes this picture to a whole new level. Jacob, what do you think of this presentation? |

I like the placement of the frog on the lily pads. The predominantly green color palette works well.
My only quibble are the 2 pads in the top left and right corners, as my eye wants to travel there. I would clone them out so as not to lose the lovely shape of the lily pads behind the frog. |

Jacob, this is your best picture yet. I admire your patience to wait 3 days for this image! The head and body are sharp and well shown. It is unfortunate that the legs blend in with the flower, but I'm not sure how to correct that.
I find the bright leaf in the top left corner to be distracting. It would be easy to crop from the left or clone it out.

Cindy, what a great story telling composition! I love that you included the egg in the story. You have done a great job in highlighting the gosling to make it stand out from the messy background. |

Pierre, this is another great shot. The bird is not only handsome with its vibrant red, white and black colors, but the way you have presented it clutching onto the branch creates some tension, which adds to the story.
From my perspective, I would prefer to crop more from the right to create a vertical format. I may also try to darken the branch to make it less prominent. |
