Hi Tom. Thanks for visiting our group.
We sat on a bench across the bay, sipping wine as we waited for the sun to drop and the yachts to come around for their sunset viewing. |

Andy, welcome to our group. I can already see that I am going to enjoy your images.
The color palette that you have chosen here is fantastic. A simple image but beautifully presented. |

This is a nice clean uncluttered presentation. I am enjoying the diagonal composition, and the colors certainly do pop.
My only suggestion is to add a 1 or 2 pixel stroke to show us where the frame ends. |

Your fisheye tool does some amazing things to the original. It took me quite a while to work out what is happening here. However the final result is really very artistic and abstract. It really emphasizes the artist inside of you! |

You have certainly captured the moment, and his expression is fantastic. His face is so sharp and captivating that it holds my attention sufficiently not to notice the minor blemishes.
I like the inclusion of the second runner, out of focus as this helps to show us what is really happening. |

The sky is quite dramatic and you have done well with your processing to bring out the warm colors of the scene.
I would like to see more foreground to balance out the landscape. But of course I wasn't there so don't know what else may have obstructed the view! |

You have captured the mood in this scene with the mist rising off the water. I recommend lightning the knees to give them some detail. The background is bright, but that's where the sun is rising, so there not much you can do about that. |

Once again I am wowed by your bird images, Geoff. The colors are great and you have achieved good depth of field despite using an aperture of f8.
There is a gannet colony in South Africa that I have visited, but it is so difficult to get any separation. So well done with this composition. |

The fall foliage is great and the waterfall is well depicted. As you said, the sky is uninteresting, so why not crop it out altogether?
I have presented it here as a vertical. What do you think? |

This is a difficult subject matter and unfortunately the insect does not stand out enough from its surroundings.
Follow the tips that Pierre has suggested and continue to improve your photography. |

The four ducklings are so cute. Yes, the front duckling is still a little soft but is part of the story.
I might amputate the mothers neck a bit more. This will help to eliminate some of the dead space in the upper right. |

The squirrel is great - nice and sharp with a good catch light in the eye. he also stands out well from the background.
The out of focus grass in the lower foreground is distracting to me, and so I would suggest cropping it out. I would also crop the right side to include that leaf which he appears to be looking at. |
