I have saturated the colors around the sun as suggested by Bob and Anges. I agree that it gives the picture more punch.

Anges, this is a wonderful storytelling nature image and would do well in any nature competition. The interaction of the 2 birds make it compelling as well as the colors of their feathers.
My only suggestion would be to lighten the eye of the bird on the right and maybe add a highlight into the eye. |

The sunflower is great, enhanced by the angle that you shot it. I would not change a thing! It is simple and effective. The lower bloom does not bother me at all. |

The head is beautifully sharp, but that is such a small part of the frame. I would crop it considerably as there is very little useful information in the background. |

Thanks for all the favorable comments. Its not always easy to know what to include and what to leave out. |

Tony. this is truly a wow image. Spiral stairs always make good subjects but often the lighting is not conducive. Here everything works in your favor and the complimentary colors blue and orange are superb. Well done on a great image. |

Bob, you have done an excellent job at processing this image. The butterfly is perfectly sharp and I love the bokeh.
I would prefer a little more space in front of the butterfly, left side and perhaps less on the right |

Nice creative work in the post process, Dean. I agree that the background is too busy. |

Once again it is wonderful to see your unique fauna. The light on his fur is just gorgeous. Thank you for including the environment to show us where these animals live. |

This is so different from your usual entries, but I love it. I would suggest softening those background twigs even more, especially to the right of his head. |

You have done a lot of work on an "ordinary" grackle, but the result makes it all worthwhile. I like the simplified presentation which makes the bird stand out from the background. |

The Green Heron is one of my favorite birds. You have captured him on a branch close to the water where they love to perch while fishing. Of course the fish is a bonus.
I agree with previous comments about the background. |
