This was taken in the late afternoon, so the trees and foliage are not rendered as white as is usual in infra red. However, the IR does provide crisp tones and good contrast especially in the sky. |

This image works really well for me. I can appreciate the color palette that you have presented here emphasizing all the blue tones. It provides a cool, peaceful look to the scene. I think the composition is good as it is. I would not crop anything. |

Guy, I am sorry to say that this image does not work for me. As a nature picture, the eye is the most important feature of any animal presentation and here it is closed. As a pictorial presentation, I would like to see more of the environment where the bird is sitting. However, I do agree that your feather texture is beautiful and very sharp. |

I just love the vibrant colors of this golden Mosque, and the perfect symmetry that you have achieved.
The Star of David only became a Jewish symbol at the beginning of the 20th century with the birth of Zionism. Before that it was used in many architectural designs. They can also be seen on the floor of the Sistine Chapel. |

Belinda, I think we are all looking back at our old files to keep us busy.
I think you have achieved your aim here in providing a pleasing and calm landscape. The grass provides a good lead in to the house. I would probably clone a little off the bottom to remove the bright stone, but perhaps that would place the horizon line too much in the center. |

Tony, I love the color palette and saturation of the sky. It was definitely worth getting up early to achieve this.
I think you are showing enough of the valley for my eye to follow the S curve to the horizon. |

Bob,
I think you have framed this well. The wall in the front has great texture, and my eye goes all the way to the temple at the end. Just a small quibble - I would remove the "point" on top of the roof of the temple to provide more separation from the last arch. |

Thanks, Jose. The tree doesn't bother me as it is part of the environment where these animals live. But I did follow your suggestion and removed the tree. What do you think? Is it an improvement? |

Jacob, this is a great recording of this plant. But to make it a compelling nature image, you need to do more with it. The suggestions above, cropping and vignetting will help. Perhaps some selective focus to further blur some of the buds in the background will also help to improve the composition. |

Geoffrey, this is one of the nicest pictures that I have seen. It is artistic, storytelling and technically perfect. It was definitely worth the effort it took to create. Congratulations on being able to "see" the effect beforehand. |

I agree with keeping the tree in the frame as shown here. The sunrise with its star effect is great. But I also like the clouds and delicate branches on the right of the tree. On my monitor the foreground is light enough, although it is a bit dark on my cell phone. |

You did a lot of work on this image but I believe that it was all worthwhile. Besides the beautiful milky effect of the water, I love the texture that you have achieved in the rocks, especially in the middle of the river. |

I like the use of the reeds to lead my eye directly to those cute goslings. The background doesn't bother me as it forms a reference for the reflections. However, I would suggest darkening the foreground to be less competitive with the goslings. Your composition is spot on by separating the left 3 from the right 2. |

As we all sit at home during this period of lockdown we are all looking for things to occupy our time. I have been going through old files and have found some amazing pictures that I seemed to overlook originally.
So don't feel guilty to show us this wonderful rendition of the solar eclipse. It is well positioned and well shown. |
