I agree with all the comments about the orange roof. However I feel that cropping off the left arch will destroy the symmetry of the picture. I have other pictures with just one of the arches and is not as effective. |

This composition doesn't work for me. It may have been better to concentrate on a smaller part of the scene. |

I think you have created an interesting perspective, and I don't mind the tilt to the right. All the tones of blue are wonderful. Pity you couldn't get the base of the building in the frame but I understand the problems that you have pointed out. |

The 3 days that we spent in Hong Kong were also foggy. Is the weather ever clear in that part of the world?
I really do like your composition with the tallest building just peeping through the fog, and the strong colors of the boat in the foreground. I probably would have cropped off some of the sky, but that is a personal choice. |

This is surely a beautiful scene and I'm sure it depicts the environment that you find there. The composition and depth throughout the picture is great. However, I find the colors un-natural and possibly overworked. Perhaps this is due to the HDR treatment? |

Your final image is a great improvement. I think this image accentuates the value gained from all the comments by members in the group. I often find that when I am working on an image for some time, I tend to miss some obvious flaws which are easy to correct.

On my monitor this looks perfectly sharp. I love the way that you have presented in the frame with space in front to "fly into." And of course, the seaweed gives added interest. Well done. |

This is a well composed and well seen landscape, with great colors seen after the sun has set. So often we put away our cameras after sunset and miss great shots like this.
The sky to the left of the tree really bothers me and so I agree with Larry's crop to use the tree as the left hand frame. |

Unfortunately the butterfly is lost in a busy background. Also the angle that you placed the butterfly feels awkward. It might have been better taken from directly behind the butterfly. I would also try to increase the saturation on the butterfly. |

A perfect portrait and I love the way you have handled the background. |

The puffed up Cardinal is great but the background is distracting. I agree with Isaac's crop but I would suggest cloning out the diagonal branch going through the top left corner. |

Never seen a Green Jay before, it is a beautiful bird. You have done well capturing it in flight, it is reasonably sharp with the wing tips showing movement. Pity about the background though especially that diagonal tree trunk right behind the bird.
I would use dodge and burn to lighten the body and eye, and darken the left wing. I would also try to darken the entire background so that the bird stands out more prominently. |
