We have so many excellent nature pictures this month. Well done on capturing the dragon fly in such a good position. I love the all green monochrome effect, and yet the fly still stands out from the background. |

Guy, The colors are great, rich and inviting. I am not bothered by the cut off rail on the left as my eye can work out where it goes. Your picture tells the story for this Halloween month. |

Here's a quick rendition where I added to bottom and left. You could also crop from the right |

Jose, you sure do have an eye for the unusual. The b&w conversion is great. I also like Belinda's version of complete symmetry to make it more of a pattern shot.
We are off to Budapest, the Danube and Prague, so will keep my eye open for this type of picture. |

Belinda, I love this image. The color palette is gorgeous, and you have achieved sharpness from front to back. The road anchors the composition and leads my eye through the landscape to those inviting vineyards. I would not remove it at all. |

What a great nature picture. Although the frog is green as is the background, it still stands out beautifully. Pity that it is so close to the bottom of the frame. You could add to the canvas at the bottom and use content aware to fill in the foreground. |

I love the colours especially in the foreground reflected in the lake. i would crop some from the top to raise the horizon line and take it out of the centre.
Thank you for sharing more of the wonders of your part of the world. |

The rocks in this area are amazing and so photogenic. I took many in Southern Utah last year but none as good as this one. However. I find the original clearer and sharper - just my opinion!! |

A big improvement on the original, and well done on getting rid of the extra bird on the right. The egrets stand out from the background and tell a great nature story. |

The Bittern is shown in its environment, but unfortunately, it doesn't stand out for me. The reeds lower left could be toned down to reduce its brightness. |

A nice peaceful scene. I like the way the reflection leads my eye through the landscape. I used the Dehaze filter in Photoshop camera raw to add some contrast to the sky. |

Please join me in welcoming Jacob to our group.
Jacob, I like the angle that you took this and the fact that you got down low. The background is nicely blurred, as is the receding line of mushrooms. My only suggestion is to get down even lower or a little further away to capture the base of the front mushroom. |
