The marmot is nice and sharp, and well placed in the frame. I agree that more space above the head would have been helpful so as not to cut off any whiskers. |

You have captured such a mournful look on his face, and I love the close crop, the diagonal line of his face, and the way the left ear forms a partial frame. Simple but effective. Well done! |

Jose, you seem to have a great eye for finding the unusual pictures in a mundane area. I love the simplicity of the composition, but it is the colors which are really great. I have added a 2 pixel stroke to your image to prevent the blacks from "disappearing" into the distance. |

I love the colors of the Quince in the center and the treatment given to the background. The bottom petal I find distracting and would prefer if you had cloned it out completely. |

Dave, the pond is great with its reflections and muted colors. However, my eye is drawn to the bright grass bottom left and to the right of the pond. I agree with other comments about clipping right side of the pond. I guess you are lucky that you can keep going back to this scene. |

The mist has provided great mood to this picture. Your composition is excellent and I particularly like the balance between the yellow mound on the left and the rock to right of the house. The mist has done a good job in blocking out the houses in the background which would otherwise be a distraction. |

Geoffrey, I love the intimate eye contact between the seal and me the viewer. Your composition is simple and therefore has no distractions. Well done! |

The advantage of shooting from a kayak puts you at the birds eye level which shows off the Limpkin at its best. However i find the overall image very bright, maybe due to the time of day. I have played around with it a bit, reducing the overall brightness, increasing contrast slightly, and then applying local adjustment with the History Brush tool - multiply at 30%. I also cropped to get rid of the bright stem on the left. |

Donna. everything is tack sharp as usual and the adult stands out from the clean unobtrusive background. Do you use Nikon lenses? |

Candy, another perfect composition. And your post process is spot on as usual. The white stroke keeps my eye in the frame which would otherwise bleed into the darkness. |

Pierre, the colors of the butterfly and flowers are great and I love the clean unobtrusive background. I would crop a lot closer to make the butterfly larger and stand out better. |

Great colors and I love the way you have handled the background. The focus stacking seems like a lot of work, but the result that you have achieved here makes it all worthwhile.
The even number of blooms does not bother me as they are all different in their orientation. They are well balanced in the format. |

Thanks, Brenda. I agree that your crop improves the image considerably. I wanted to show the milkweed blossoms in the background, but it is probably better to exclude them. |
