I love this composition, Albert. It is sharp from the rock in front along the ripples in the sand to that magnificent sky with its pending storm clouds. I would not like to see this cropped. The layer of green ocean in the center provides just sufficient separation from foreground to sky. |

Nice composition, but I would tone down the flower even more. The boomerang shaped leaves or stem on the left are distracting and I would suggest cloning out or darkening even more. |

The colors sure are great. But the composition does not hold my interest. Sorry! |

Nice peaceful landscape. I agree that it does need some contrast but not as much that it darkens the brickwork of the bridge. A slower shutter speed, perhaps with a neutral density filter, would make the water appear more silky. |

Guy, thanks for pointing out the gray dot. Probably a spot on my sensor. I missed it completely. |

Bob, my eye is immediately drawn to the 2 light areas - the young leaves and flower on the left and the leaf on the right. They stand out well from the darkened leaves in the background without losing the detail completely.
The only thing that I find slightly bothersome are the white dots on the front leaf.

The blurred background has been well done, Dean. However, I find the flower still a little too bright. I would crop even more perhaps to a square format.
Personally I prefer the pink version of this flower. |

A couple of years ago I visited Sossusvlei in Namibia, Southern Africa, home to the tallest dunes in Africa. You have captured the patterns, with the dark and light shadows while still showing us the vastness of the landscape. Your b&w conversion helps us to concentrate on the patterns rather than the colors, so you are to be commended for that. |

I was in Antelope Canyon last year and it is truly an amazing place. The crowds of tourists are a problem and the guides rush you in and out. I love this composition, the lines and colors. The blue sky also helps to set off the orange rocks - we had an overcast day on our visit. Good suggestion to go in twice to get better pictures. |

I love the soft feel to this composition while still keeping the bird perfectly sharp. Great color palette. |

Candy, your technique of using 2 images as a composite works perfectly and I cannot see any of the "joins". I know you generally do not use a tripod, so I am wondering how you managed to get them in the same plane and size. Where was the mother at this stage? |

The falcon is beautifully shown and I admire the clean unobtrusive background. Do these birds return to the same nest every year? The vignette helps to focus my attention on the bird. |

This picture was taken shortly after sunrise which accounts for the yellow tone. Thank you Candy for correcting the color balance and head detail. I agree it is now greatly improved. Here is my improved picture with the suggestions made above. |
