This is a pretty picture, well composed, and excellent color palate. The background is well handled not to have any distractions. |

Lovely pair of kestrels, and great color rendition. The right bird is perfectly sharp but the beak of the left bird id not. This surprises me as your f8 should have given you enough depth of field. The black background is great as it is clean with no distractions, therefore focusing my attention completely on the birds. |

Great color in the bird and all the feathers are perfectly sharp. You have handled the background well so that there are no distractions. Pity that the tail is cut off. |

Good job with the color saturation. I generally like negative space as provided here by the roof, but perhaps it is a little too much. I would have cloned out the pole completely, then come down from the top, and just a little off the left. |

I like the abstract nature of this image. However I think the moon is an unnecessary addition. Also the "stars" on the background are disturbing. I would prefer a plainer greenish background. I want to focus more on the beautiful rim lighting on the icicle. |

I have rotated as suggested and agree that it does improve the picture. Thanks for the advice. |

I had been shooting birds in flight and forgot to change the shutter speed for these animals that were at the side of the boardwalk. |

Geoff, you have done well to get light on the underside of the wings. The diagonal composition is excellent and I love the sharpness in the feathers. The blue sky provided you with the perfect, clean background. |

Great color and composition. The Topaz filter has been well used and provides a very subtle effect to soften the harsh lighting of the original. |

The way that you present this image shows off the tiny tree frog in its environment and gives a sense of scale. The color palette is soothing and the out of focus branches adds to the great composition. |

Once again your treatment of this monarch is perfect. The color palette is excellent with the brown background complementing the colors of the butterfly. |

Beautiful lighting on the bird. The branches in the background make an interesting criss-cross pattern. I would crop out the out of focus branch on the left side as it is an unnecessary distraction. |

Dean, I think this is one of the best pictures that I have seen from you. I love the way the waves lead me into the scene from the bottom left to the sun and that wonderful curve of the clouds. The rays on the rocks are commendable. My only suggestion would be to tone down the sun so that it is not so bright. |
