Thank you for all your suggestions. I have added more contrast to the background and warmth to the entire image. Does this improve the picture sufficiently? |

This looks over sharpened on my monitor, and the sky is excessively noisy. The animal is well positioned in the frame adding impact to the view. |

Guy, I love your showcase image very much. I find this one a little too soft for me. The vignette does give it a good feeling, though. |

At first glance I had no idea what this was, so you achieved your abstract interpretation. Now I do see that it is looking down into the atrium. The colors are wonderful and the symmetry works well. I guess you would need someone to hold you by the ankles as you lean over the balcony to complete the symmetry!! |

The effect that you have created is like a charcoal drawing. You have done well with the conversion and getting rid of the right side. I don't see any pink on my monitor. I would also eliminate some of the sky, as Bob has suggested. |

I find the green trunk is lost against all the green foliage behind it. I agree with Belinda's idea of just photographing the branches against the sky. It is always difficult to photograph someone else's art and make it your own. |

You have done an excellent job by getting those colors in the water. The scene has a relaxing atmosphere despite the obvious cold! I would crop the 2 lower stems as they are a distraction. |

I prefer your first submission as the colors in the sky are just fantastic. The orange dust and the thin blue layer of sky below it make the background far more interesting than your second picture. The over sharpening does not bother me, as the colors of the setting sun make this image for me. |

Brenda, I love the different layers of gold. I think the boat does add interest even though it is small. And the plant adds an anchor. For fun, I moved the plant to the bottom right corner so that it balances the boat. And I cropped just a little off the top. What do you think? |

You have captured the owl perfectly and was worth waiting for. I do admire your patience. I like the inclusion of the twig as it completes the story of the bird taking off. I prefer this presentation than your entry in #77. |

The sharpness is amazing! It's all about those eyes and beak, and the background is nice and clean. |

The cardinal stands out beautifully from the background. It looks cold and I'm please I was not there shooting with you! I probably would also crop some from the right if you can without losing the branch with all that snow. The merger of the branch with the chest does not bother me at all. |

Just back from a 10 day Caribbean cruise so can catch up with the dialogue.
I love the way that you have captured this scene. It is all natural and the way that Nature intended it to be. I therefore feel that the 2 white snowy areas are in keeping with the scene, and although my eye goes there first, it does not prevent me from seeing the entire vista. The darker trees on the bottom provide the anchor to the layers of greys and whites. |
