I love cobbled streets and photographed many on my recent trip to Tuscany. You have captured the mood and feel of the place. It is very inviting despite the rain. |

I agree with Dave that this is a very nice record shot of your visit. Perhaps if you got down low and shot up, you might have eliminated the buildings behind. |

Yes, I like the scene as you have presented it here, and agree that brightening the castle does make it stand out more. |

The best camera is always the one that is available at the time. You have done well with the colors and reflections in the windows. I am also bothered by the 'walking' sign and would clone it out. I might also clone out the top of the cars rather than crop the bottom as I like the effect created by the arch. |

What an interesting scene. I too am always on the lookout for old barns and broken down buildings. The barn works well in b&w. I think the vignette will help. |

Yes, I also photographed this magnificent building. The HDR makes the colors warm and inviting. I always admire your technique for straightening the verticals, which I can never achieve to my satisfaction.
I would not make this a square image as I feel the columns concentrate the eye to that lovely staircase. Well done. |

Thanks for your feedback. I have lightened the foreground and cropped as you suggested. But I still prefer the original as the "half mitten" on the right provides some balance. |

Rob, what an unusual image from you this month, but I think it works admirably. The curvature of the land has given you a good composition and the clouds add enough interest for me. Love the snow capped peaks on the right. |

Brenda, looks like your trip to Montana was well worth it as you have produced many fine images. The early morning light, reflection and that tongue make this a perfect image. I have photographed many leopards and cheetah in Africa and often have problems getting the whole tail into the frame without making the animal too small, but you have achieved good balance with this cat. |

The elk is perfectly positioned, the background well handled, and I am not even bothered by the out of focus foreground! Once again, I commend you on the sharpness of the animal which is what we have come to expect from you! Well done. |

Candy, it sounds like a lot of time an effort was spent on this image, but the result is well worth it. The flower is clean and crisp with no distractions. I like the 2 leaves left on the bottom - a very subtle touch! |

What a great find as the tarantula is so well camouflaged. I like what you have included in the frame. My only suggestion is to darken the out of focus area in the bottom right corner and possibly add a vignette. |

Dean, who says you cannot do bird photography? This Blue Jay is lovely, beautifully positioned in the frame, and the background has no distractions.
Some of our club judges often criticize rear views of animals, but here I love the way that my eye follows the vibrant colors in the tail feathers, through the body to the eye, which has a highlight and is perfectly sharp.
I would crop some off the left and bottom to give the bird more space to look into. What do you think of this presentation? |
