I have played around with infra red and find it a different mind set. The scene is interesting but flat. I think it needs more contrast to bump up the blacks particularly in the rocks behind and in front of the waterfall. |

Guy, you have taken a good but ordinary picture of this bird and turned it into a work of art. Well done! I hope your granddaughter was inspired and learned from you that day. |

Old things do make great subjects and here you have captured great detail in the piano. The orange wall with its crack certainly compliments the scene. I like the angle of the piano and windows that you have presented here. |

Your composition is great and I love the colors in the metal. If you do have more space at the bottom of the frame, that would be preferable so that the wheel does not touch the edge of the frame. The red does not bother me as it fits the color palette seen in the metal. |

Thanks for all your comments. I especially left in the wall on the right as I felt it added depth to the scene. |

The lack of a center of interest is a problem here, but I have no suggestions how to fix it. Perhaps a different camera angle down the path so that the path leads the eye through the picture. The lighting is lovely with the alternating patches of light and shadow on the path. |

The rainbow makes the picture, and the light on the mountain on the left is great. The ocean waves adds a nice element to the left of the picture. The person does not bother me as he almost blends into the rock behind him. I would crop down from the top to eliminate the blue sky. |

Rob, I prefer your second image as it solves the problem with the "lost" beak. I cloned the eye from the left gull into the eye of the right gull. What do you think? Or do you regard this as cheating? After all, we are not a "pure' nature group and allow some modification. |

I agree with Candy's crop as it shows us more detail of the cute little pussy cat, while still leaving enough background to show a natural environment. Good work on the eyes! |

Donna, this is another perfect image from you. Color, composition, clean out of focus background all come together. And your crop is right on! |

Candy, once again you have taken a mundane image and turned it into a work of art. You have the artists eye to do that as I would have deleted the original picture if it was mine!
The veins in the leaves make the image stand out, and I love the diagonal leaves that you are showing. |

Pierre, I love the color palette presented here with the pinks against the gorgeous green background. Composition is spot on especially with the slight tilt to the right. The 400 mm lens has helped to create a background without any distractions. |

Yes. I also prefer the green version, but would tone down the greens slightly and perhaps enhance the reds in the upper left. But having said that, I find this a very pleasing and relaxing presentation, with the light streaming in from the left corner. The best camera to use is the one that is available at the time, otherwise you would have missed a great opportunity. |
