A simple picture with a good message to remind us about Love and relationships. Thus the added Virginia message does not bother me. I would consider this image a good record shot of your trip to Virginia. |

I think this is a very nice street scene and holds together well. The people in the distance don't bother me as they are always present in street scenes. I would tone down the reds so that they are not quite so prominent especially the pillar on the left. |

The "C" shaped curve of the coastline is commendable. There are a few things that bother me with this image, which may be entirely due to the filters that you used:
1)Vertical patch of light in the water about 1.5 inches from the left border.
2)Dark green trees on top right.
3)Lack of contrast in the distant cliffs.
I would love to see the original for comparison. |

Great composition, Dave, with the tree filling that top right corner. The mood created by the low lying clouds and mist in the valley make this picture compelling. Pity about the bald sky but there's not much you can do about that. I would clone out the white spot in the left side of the sky - looks like a scratch or sensor dust! |

The IR capture has made this image particularly crisp and clean. I love the contrast that you have shown us on the path which is a perfect lead in to the church.
Dave, I'm sorry that you don't like infra red - poor weather conditions and shooting in the middle of the day can often only be achieved with IR. |

This is a good composition in a difficult situation. Both animals are shown clearly and the light shining through the ears is wonderful. I would try to darken the bright orange top center or crop just above the horizontal branch. |

What a beautiful sky and water reflection, Dean. This proves the saying that the "water is the sky's looking glass". You waited long enough to get everything perfect. I like your composition as the branch is almost parallel to the clouds.
I agree with Pierre's comments about the bugs. |

How did you get so much light on the foreground at 1.6secs? The last time I tried this type of photography in Namibia, the milky way was obliterated by the rising moon. Everything holds together here to create a great composition. Well done, Rob. |

Nice balance with the trees on the horizon. But it is the magnificent sky and clouds that make this a winner for me. |

I prefer the vertical crop. You have positioned the Heron perfectly in the frame. The bird is tack sharp while the out of focus background sets it off beautifully. |

What an unusual and interesting image this month, Candy. The composition is great and I love the way it stands out from the dark rock.
I would not clone out the fissure in the lower right as Brenda suggests, as I think the crack makes it look more natural. |

Thanks, Brenda. The background is completely natural and I did not lighten it. The bird was fairly close so the large aperture and long lens will create this background, which I find very pleasing. |
