I love the symmetry of the hills on each side which leads my eye to the beautifully lit peaks in the background and those stunning colors in the sky. You have just enough light on the village to know that it is there without being obtrusive. |

This image has a nice mood to it with the brightly colored Fall leaves on the left and the long Pathway leading to the stairway. Bob's crop does enhance the stairway, but then I think you lose the nice lead in and feeling that I get about the place. A spring trip will obviously eliminate the beautiful Fall leaves, but I am sure there are many great opportunities at this site. |

Welcome to our group, Guy. It is good to have another Floridian in the group, even though you are only here part time.
I love the pose, the tight crop, and the removal of all the distractions. The highlights don't bother me as the horse stands out so beautifully. I would have cropped out the window on the bottom center. |

The colors make this a successful image. Nicely seen! |

I prefer your original composition as it shows the grime and dust of the old deserted building. The 2 broken panes at the lower left break up the pattern. I would suggest a crop of either the left or right to take the window out of the center of the frame. |

Great lines, great color. I get a wonderful warm and rich feeling when I look at this picture. The diagonal staircase makes the composition stand out. |

They say the more we practice, the luckier we get! You captured this sea lion in an unusual pose and like Pierre's squirrel, also appears to be at your eye level. I like Deans crop as I also found the brown object on the right to draw my eye. I would even crop a little more from the right to concentrate on the face. |

Your second submission reducing some of the bright gold areas is much better. I like the fact that you flipped the image to place the vertical branch on the left side of the frame where it is less of a distraction. I do not like your 3rd rendition! |

Congratulations on being chosen for the PSA DD members Showcase this month.
Well done, Donna on getting everything so sharp even though the dragonfly is in flight. Your reflexes must be very quick to capture this action. Do you use a motion trigger system? |

The sharpness throughout the bird and the fact that you have managed to show all the limbs without any obstructions makes this a winner for me. There is no blue cast on my monitor. |

This is an unusual image for me here in Florida, and I admire you lying in the snow to get this angle. After all, it is always better to be at the animals eye level. My only suggestion is to clone a highlight into the animals left eye(our right side) |

As a retired dentist, I can really appreciate the clarity in the dental anatomy of those posterior molars! I agree with comments about the highlights on the forehead. I too tried to play around to try to improve, but I must agree with Candy that there is nothing recoverable in that area. However the eyes and mouth make this image extremely compelling. |

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. I lightened the jackal, but do not want to change the shadows as that confirms the direction of the early morning light |
