What a humorous picture. The only thing that bothers me is the snow lumps between the statues feet. |

Your research was really worthwhile as you have captured the train and engine in an ideal position. The steam is always enhanced as the train climbs the hill. I was not aware that steam trains are still used in this country. The only improvement would be to take the picture very early in the morning with back light through the smoke - but I guess you had no control of that. |

Colors are nicely saturated probably due to the rain. Its a lovely image and I'm sure a very fitting conclusion to your trip. |

Great story telling nature picture. The bug is placed nicely in the frame and the out of focus petals hold my attention on the main subject. Color harmony is great. |

I prefer the color version as I like the drama created by the colors in the sky. The triangles provide a great geometric component to the image. |

The b&w conversion adds more drama to the picture. The lines are nice and clean, and the reflection pool acts as a good lead in to the Temple. |

Your expertise in birds is once again highlighted here. I prefer Candy's version to provide more contrast and also take the bird out of the center of the frame. The ripples in the water provide just enough of a blur to the reflection. |

Back views are usually not very flattering, but here you have captured a tender moment between the calf and its mother. I would also prefer a little more space in front as the mom looks very cramped. I think the fur texture is lovely. |

I agree with all Brenda's comments. You have combined the best features of both images to produce a winner. I love it! |

I love watching Green Herons here in South Florida. They are usually low down in the branches near the water as they fish and not easy to isolate. So you have done well to capture this one higher up and against a clear blue sky. |

The lines in the sand make this picture for me. I agree with previous comments about the toning which works so well here. I would have tried moving the sun out of the center probably to the left, but it does not take away from the fact that this is a beautiful image. |
