26 Mar 17 Reply I did not notice the arrow, and agree that the crop improves the picture. Thanks for the suggestions. Mar 22nd
26 Mar 17 Comment Great scenic picture with strong lead in lines. I agree with Jose's suggestion to crop out some of the top white clouds in the sky. Mar 22nd
26 Mar 17 Comment All the lines and arches shown here are superb, and I think that the reflection adds to the composition. Good choice to convert to black and white. You were lucky to get the picture without hundreds of tourists. The bald sky does not bother me. This works well as a geometric composition. Mar 22nd
26 Mar 17 Comment This scene has obvious nostalgia for you, and I can appreciate your explanation. However I'm sorry to say that I don't find any photographic value in the image. Perhaps adding a blue sky would help and a different angle of the buildings to create a more geometric composition. Mar 22nd
26 Mar 17 Comment I like the line created from the tip of the tail through the beak to the waves in the background. Definitely remove the rock - it is too much of a distraction.

26 Mar 17 Comment A very simple composition that works well due to the color that you have achieved in post process. The final result is a great improvement on your original. Mar 20th
26 Mar 17 Reply I'm not sure what sky you are referring to. I know I cropped out all the sky and the wires in the left corner. Mar 12th

69 Mar 17 Comment The Dotterel is perfectly positioned in the frame and I agree with your inclusion of the log as it provides a balance to the picture and a sense of scale. Although the beach is white, the bird still stands out well from the background. Mar 1st
69 Mar 17 Comment Photography is about the light, and you have captured the light perfectly here to accentuate the hills and create the 3D effect. It was worth getting up so early to be there at the right time of day. Love the picture, and can't wait to get to the parks in the South West. Mar 1st
69 Mar 17 Comment Well composed image with the 3 layers of mountain, trees and cranes. I wish at least one of the cranes was sharper and clearer, but I guess you were too far away Mar 1st
69 Mar 17 Comment Your post process has improved this image tremendously. Great action in the bird and the concentric rings in the water help to concentrate my attention to the main subject. Mar 1st
69 Mar 17 Comment How did you get so close to these elusive animals? He stands out perfectly from the background, is well positioned in the frame and the drops of snow on his coat are interesting, Great shot! Mar 1st
69 Mar 17 Comment This is a very peaceful scene. The lines of mist or light coming off the glacier adds great impact to the scene. The black and white conversion works well as the light water in the foreground is enhanced by the darkened hills on the left and lower right. I would love to see the original for comparison. Mar 1st
