Kathleen, I like your images as presented including the slight sepia tone of the image. The mounted police and horses are interesting on their own but it is the little girl that provides the focus point of the story. I love that she is isolated and takes the viewer eyes around the image and then back again. The clean foreground pavement provides a resting place for the eyes against the busyness of the background. Wonderful capture! |

Ed, I agree with the others that a tighter crop and a b&w version simplifies the image and focuses on the family. Nice composition with a family of three (odds) and interesting composition including a male, female and small boy. It is a wintry scene and the lights add to the story of a special time of the year.

Bruce, a round window of framing provides a great lesson in geometry, which includes the elements of the platform and the stairs. I like the lone human figure engrossed in his cell and the clothing color which breaks the monochromatic. Great composition, including the small detail of the crack in the concrete pointing to the center. |

Pinaki, I like the suggested edits by Ed which tones down the brightness of his face. Nice depth of field which puts the background out of focus. The bubbles add a kind of bokeh to the image and brings out his action. A ¾ side view might been an alternative viewpoint as it would catch a bit of the profile of his hands and the instrument- as Isaac suggested; it is always good to walk around. |

Isaac I like the cropped version as suggested. Nice frontal lighting which gives a sense of depth to the image. I like the movement suggested by the upraised foot. The older boy's embrace tells a wonderful story of protectiveness. The colors bring out the boys to the forefront, and even the debris on the street add texture to the image. |
