58 Oct 22 Comment Bill, great architectural image but you made it your own story by including the "ghosted" visitor and the night time lighting. This image of the memorial is clean and contemporary and presents an unusual take on the Holocaust. I like the monochromatic sepia color palette and interesting shadows of the monolithic columns. I imagine that this would be interesting place to visit in the winter as well. Oct 16th

58 Oct 22 Comment Bruce, seeing your image this month reminds me when I was also in HK a few years ago. The bird aficionados take their hobby seriously and meeting together means that the birds "compete" and train in thrilling and whistling away. Your composition of a group of five and the center of focus is the yellow cage. The background walls are uncluttered and the red cage adds a spot of interest to fill that left space in the background. Nice top down lighting makes for interesting lighting. Oct 16th
58 Oct 22 Comment Sally, thanks for submitting the original as well. The color harmony in your image works well and the red/green complementary palette makes a good color combo. Nice side lighting from the left to reveal the kids' faces. I like the boy's reach at the peak of action in mid-air. There's enough blur to the background which brings focus on the subjects. Perhaps adding a vignette to close and darken the corners? Nicely done. Oct 16th
58 Oct 22 Comment Isaac, you caught the action of the tomato just right; her hand gesture points down to the birds at the bottom of the frame; and the repeating triangular shapes of the bags and her conical hat guides the eye around the image. Nice street scene environment which tells of the culture of the city. I like the touches of red in the image which adds pops of color around the main subject. Layers of foreground/mid and background gives your image depth and interest. Your POV is unusual and different because she's on a platform. Good story line too! Nicely done. Oct 16th
