58 Aug 22 Comment DanĂ¢â‚¬¦The title of your image tells a story and it's left to the viewer to fill in the blanks. I like Isaac's comment of being "lost" and I can imagine the child (girl) who has to continue on this journey through rocks and brambles. Great human interest. Aug 16th
58 Aug 22 Comment Bruce, nice street shot of an old fashioned barber waiting for business. There are a lot of interesting elements that surround the blue framing of the barber. I like the orange cones that provide a geometric quality and the pile of touristy "stuff" in the left bottom corner. Nice and sharp with a good story line!! Aug 16th
58 Aug 22 Comment Sally, nice action shot. You caught the dancers at the right moment and the view is unobstructed. I also like the red line on the road which serves to anchor the dancers. Nice bit of history provided by Isaac! I agree that the man in the yellow shirt should be cropped, although he looks like he would like to join in. Aug 16th
58 Aug 22 Comment Isaac, These animal pictures are always fun. I like the interaction of the group of three, and the edited version where you cleaned up some of the background foliage. Your camera point of view indicate the you must have been up high as well to catch this shot at eye level. Nice clean sky which adds some negative space and provides some relief for the eye to rest. Perhaps works as a B&W too?? Aug 16th
58 Aug 22 Comment Bill, nice perspective and interesting elements of the fire escape anchor the far end of the image and provides a point of focus. I like the grittiness of the road and the touch of black which anchors the scene. About the crop- I would suggest that the crop even further to the left and bottom to clean the right bottom edge- this serves to bring the end back wall as a focus point and place on the thirds and enhances the composition.
