Dan, the side lighting on your image gives depth and dimension to the two children. Their faces reflect the curiosity of the scene around them. You caught a spontaneous moment. Great shot- I'm glad that you shared with the parents. |

Isaac... interesting, that you mention about the height of the man V. the structure which I hadn't noticed before. The focal length is 150mm, on a 24-240mm zoom lens. I was seated at the bottom of this "hill" and the man had to trudge uphill to get to the structure, which explains the "up" camera position. Eye level looks like just about his hips. |

Bruce, thanks for including the original. I like your image as presented, including the crop. There is a nice play of the hands and arms arching up and down rhythmically. The inclusion of the stoic statute adds contrast to the female bodies and makes for an interesting image. I believe this might also work well as a B&W. |

Les, I like the interaction between the human and the animal accentuated by her hand in the green glove. These little birds are delightful, and her job must be a happy one. Nice balanced composition with a well defined subject. |

Sally, thanks for including the original color version. It was a good idea to convert to B&W. I like Isaac's adjustments to the image which brings attention to the subject. The two guys act as supporting roles and I like their stance with hands on hips. Good tonal range throughout and a timeless scene. Keep up the good work. |

Isaac, seems like there are a lot of photographers in this group, including yourself. I like your composition and the various layers of people which takes the viewer from the front to the back of the image. Horizontals and Verticals are perfectly balanced and the use of a wide angle lens is a great choice. The story of Westerners sitting low to the floor for their meal is thought provoking; I suspect many of these folks would have trouble getting back up. I like the curiosity displayed by the front row as they dig in. Very orderly arrangement of food, mats and surroundings. Great image. |
