58 Apr 22 Comment Bill, I like the touches of red which takes my eye around the image and ties it together. The image is otherwise B&W which does not detract from the story. Nice vertical elements and your crop is also vertical which adds to the composition. Agree with Isaac's suggested edits. Apr 16th
58 Apr 22 Comment Dan, I favor the color version myself. I like the repetition of the bicycles and the height of the saddles are different which suggests the heights of the each rider who has used a bike. This adds to the story as I can imagine how short or tall each person is. Nice diagonal leading lines which add dynamics to the image. The circular wheels breaks up the straight lines and make the image interesting. Apr 16th
58 Apr 22 Comment Bruce, this certainly qualifies as street photography. This is a unique camera position which makes it all the more interesting. I like the geometry of the straight lines and that each angle show a different slice of the pie. The intersection at the center presents a mystery which adds to the story. Waiting for the right person to enter the scene is a bonus. Flat lighting on an overcast day has helped your image. Well done! Apr 16th
58 Apr 22 Comment Les, this is a very interesting image and reflects the human condition in other parts of the world. There is a foreground (bicycle), middle ground (the workers in the ditch) and the background (the onlookers and motorcycles) which adds depth and takes the eye around your image. I like the activity suggested by the workers' hands and body positions and the fact that they are below grade.. The women in colorful saris show a sharp contrast against the black & white of the men's utilitarian clothing. Nice textures throughout and good camera position (top down). Good job! Apr 16th
58 Apr 22 Comment Isaac, thank you for including the other images which add to the festive occasion. The intense color of the garments add interest against the winter environment. It looks like a bright and sunny but cold day. I like the vertical composition of your image and the group of three. I also like the triangles formed by the legs of the subjects which lead the viewer to the faces. The expression on the faces capture a moment of fun and tell of the relationship between parent and child. Post processing is spot on! Apr 16th
