Glad to have you join the group and look forward to your seeing your images, Bill. I believed you achieved your goal in trying to capture the lighting of the building. The interior is welcoming on such a bleak, cold night and the skaters activity make for a nice story. I also like the reflection light on the frozen ice. Brrr! |

Dan, I like the unusual pose of the woman and the position of her hands. Her eyes are directed and focused on her creation which makes for a great story line. Nice top lighting which adds dimension to her face and her hands. |

Bruce, great moment! The big guy looks like he's trying to rein in his tiny dog. Only because you included the original and your thoughts on cropping, I would say that I am partial to including the entire group on the right; and excluding the runner on the left. This is because of the connection between the young man who also has a tiny, similar dog on a leash which would complete the story. Dan mentioned about the close cropping at the top of his head and I would tend to agree and include the yellow traffic signal as well. Your image of course- it's great see people enjoying the day without masks. |

Les, you captured a moment between a father and son. The harsh light emphasizes the coolness of the water and its refreshment. I like the composition and framing of the subjects by the surrounding fountain architecture which curve around them. Good capture. |

Roger, the cyclist draws attention to the human scale of the architecture and size of the building. I like the various geometric shapes and repetitious lines that are reflected in the building and that of the bicycle itself. A B&W version might be interesting too! |

Isaac, I like the framing of the subject in the doorway and the layering of the story with a foreground, middleground and the depth which leads the viewer into the room beyond. Her eyes are focused on the task at hand and all the tools of daily living makes for an interesting story line. I like the touch of reds which brings attention to her face. Perhaps cropping from the left side to provide for a cleaner edge and make her off center? |
