Daniel, the soft clouds provide a nice contrast in texture to the harder surfaces of the light post and the sculpture. The sky gives your image negative space around the two objects. |

Dan, interesting story with the woman at the intersection of cross roads of empty streets. You were able to isolate her as the subject of your image. Good idea to convert the image to B&W. The "perspective warp" tool is difficult to use and I usually use the auto feature in Lightroom to straighten verticals. The feature is also available in the Camera Raw section of PS, and as Bruce suggested just one click on the verticals. |

Bruce, you captured a great moment with the subject in mid stride. I like the black mask which adds a sense of mystery to the man. The shadows add dimension and layers to the image. Your crop and what you chose to show the viewer is spot on, with clean edges to the frame and no distractions. Well done! |

Les, there is a clear subject in your image. A candid moment with a story behind the lens that adds humor to the onlooker. The open gate provides a diagonal opening to the animal. Flat lighting is even and looks shadowless. |

Roger, nice back lighting with cast shadows. Can't remember when last I saw a man in a suit, times have changed. The processing reminds me of an "Orton" effect and the conversion to B&W is a good choice. I also like the vertical crop which echoes the vertical lines in this image. |

Unusual point of view Isaac. I like the group of five and the square within a square format. The various position of the hands tell a story of the domino game in progress. The square post anchors the scene and cigarette butts on the floor add to the story. Your technique for capturing the image is interesting.. does your camera have a flip screen? Did you use live view or how did you know what was in the viewfinder when the camera was mounted up high? Please share. |
