58 Jun 21 Comment Bruce..nice lighting just enough to bring out the shadows in the quirky chairs and the reflections in the windows of the arched building. Interesting contrast in textures - the grass, walls, windows, reflections and the water which keeps the eye moving around the image. Nice separation of layers of a foreground middle ground and background that makes a complete image. The red lunch box adds a nice pop of color to the complementary green. I also like the near square crop to include all the important elements. Well seen! Jun 25th
58 Jun 21 Comment Daniel ... there are nice geometric elements which add interest to your image - the circles and the triangular frame of the bicycle and the arrow of the sign and the bicycle itself is repeated in the sign. The unexpected surprise and gives a pause is the sign is facing the wrong direction or perhaps the cyclist is going the wrong way. I agree with Isaac's adjustments and crop which gives the cyclist more "room" to move into the right. This looks like an excellent location to try a "panning" shot and experiment with lower shutter speeds to add movement to the wheels. Nice job! Jun 17th
58 Jun 21 Comment Dan I like the well dressed woman soaking up the sun. She managed to be seated in front of this artwork which provides the perfect background yet is part of the street environment. As an alternative crop... the image is flipped horizontally and cropped tight to the artwork which bring her placement to the thirds. The crop also eliminates the red distractive elements in the street which so not add to the story. Good work Dan! Jun 17th
58 Jun 21 Comment Les ...beautiful lighting that add dimensionality to the image. nice interesting grouping of arms and legs and close relationship between the two subjects. Harmonious colors and clothing typically found in that area of the world. The cyan blue bag adds a color contrast to the cinnamon and orange of the clothing. Good story as the older man enjoys watching his grandson eat. I used perspective crop tool to straighten and level the image somewhat. Great story telling. Jun 16th
58 Jun 21 Comment Hassan.... good side lighting which is further emphasized by the long shadows. I like the depth of the composition with a foreground subject, middle layer of beach and background layer of the ragged mountains and the clouds. Nice color palette with harmonizing blues and greys. The woman's red hair adds an unexpected touch of color and draws attention to the subject who is camera aware. Good story and capture. Jun 16th
58 Jun 21 Comment Isaac.. Nice "L" shaped framing formed with the window and bench. Composition is further accentuated with the man place in his own uncluttered space and on the thirds. Camera position at eye level with his face, leads the viewer to the subject. I like all the details of the street including the reflection in the window, the flower petals on the sidewalk and the strap of his bag. The man is careful of his clothing as indicated with his shiny shoes and hat. Wonderful story Isaac. Jun 16th
