Daniel.. I like the geometric elements in this image - the circle of the sign, the rectangular shape of the goal posts and the beach chair. Definite layers of foreground, middle and background leads to a well composed image. Extra points for the small child playing in the background! |

Marius… there are several vertical elements in this image including the background trees. The subject's jacket is lit from the front and the crossed arrows takes us to the four corners. Perhaps converting this to a B&W would minimize the distractions of the pink and unify the image. |

Bruce… great and unusual camera position looking down into the empty barber shop. The windows slightly askew gives some tension which comes from your camera position.
He looks like he's engrossed in reading a tabloid paper - (the Enquirer??) and probably following up on the gossip. I think I like your original image as presented where the two sides act as panels to frame the center of interest. The amputated "text" on the right add interest and the words all describe what's going on in his world; the gritty wall on the left is typical of NY brownstone tenement and adds to the environment. Good capture and well seen.

Randy… I like the contrast between the bright lights and the dark foreground. The two figures in the center foreground add life to the image and perhaps accentuating them a bit would create some added interest. I am surprised at the sharpness of your image considering the slow shutter speed. Good job. |

Hassan…Nice side lighting on the three men in this image which bring out their facial features and expressions. One can't help but compare their clothing, age, and ethnic background - each different but linked by their gender and intense looks. There is also a natural vignette created by the four cut corners which frames the subjects. Good conversion to B&W which adds to the image. |

Isaac…Beautiful composition and camera position which elevates the subjects on the steps. I also like the touches of red that flow around the two ladies and link them together. Nice clean background and the brown hues repeats in the stone steps. A nice story telling image where you can almost hear the whispers between the two. |
