Thxs Randy! This color version would have been appropriate too. |

Bruce...I would keep the background leg of meat (the one to camera right) - it serves to balance the composition and the added touch of yellow against the blue are complementary colors which also ties with the clothing. Lovely shadows adding dimension. |

Daniel, I like the image as originally presented and a dissenter. The staircase frame and the elevated camera position reminds me of HCB's image (which I have included as a reference). The street markings and shadows form an interesting geometric pattern which serve to frame the couple striding. Most of all I like the box head of the man. Perhaps a B&W version as a suggestion would bring it all together. |

Marius, welcome to the group! I look forward to seeing your images. As Isaac mentioned, your submission is a complex one of reflections and everyday life. Unusual camera position and added diagonal line creates a triangle and adds to the geometry of the image. I really like the intensity of eyes of the woman on the right which holds my interest. Good conversion to B&W with a wide range of tonal values. |

Bruce… the clean up version makes for a more interesting image with no distractions. I like the environmental portrait of the butcher and the honest expression in his face. His eyes are placed on the thirds. I don't know if you have a version where you included the arms in the bottom of the photo? |

Randy.. the size and human connection of this artifact makes for an interesting photo. The girl is coming from the opposite direction of the lineup of folks in the background; and the text in the background is also reversed to that of the show display. A small suggestion is to remove the cornerpiece in bottom left of the image. Although B&W is probably a good choice it would be interesting to see it in color too! |

Hassan… Life on the other side of the world! . I like how the composition is split it two by the door frame with you in one and the barber in the other. Lots of interesting things happening with the bus in the reflection and interior of the barber shop which adds to the busyness of the image. Perhaps try using f/8 or even f/7.1 with this lens to add more depth of field for a crisper image. |

Isaac… I went to Cuba couple of years ago and never came across a modern glass building. The reflection of Old Cuba in the image is seeing the old with the new. The people look like they have been waiting a long time for the bus and adds a human element and sense of scale. Including the woman in the composition is a good idea as it creates an odd number to the group. I offer a flipped version where the woman is facing the camera and straightened the verticals in Camera Raw. |
