Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
58 Jul 20 Reply Here you go Bruce....B&W version. Jul 19th
58 Jul 20 Reply Isaac... just FYI the "Bulletin Board" can be easily accessed at the very top of this page- third line, 4th heading from the left. Jul 19th
58 Jul 20 Comment Isaac - I prefer the group of three version. The story telling of this image leaves no doubt about who's in charge since the girl in red was not going to give in so easily; and she's much smaller than the boy. The different colors add vibrancy to the scene against the plain monochromatic background. Nice separation of bodies and limbs and focus placement of the Ball on the thirds. Love it!! Jul 17th
58 Jul 20 Comment Hassan - great B&W conversion. I echo the comments of the group members about the wing detail and transparency. I like the leading diagonal line provided by the railing which "stacks" the pigeons one behind the other. I would have liked to see a bit more room to the left of the image but since this appears to be a spontaneous shot - it's a great one! Jul 17th
58 Jul 20 Comment Randy, this image is timeless with nice even lighting. Depth to the image comes from the sidewalk and pedestrians leading to the fog shrouded Empire State Building in the back. I like that you left the "safety cone" in as it fills a space in the sidewalk and helps direct my gaze upward to the missing top of the skyscraper. I would perhaps consider cropping a bit from the left to include the edge of the 2nd cone and add to the vertical aspect of the image. (I made a comment on the Bulletin Board - thanks for reviving this feature!) Jul 17th
58 Jul 20 Comment Bruce, this is a nice grouping of an odd number. The women are all fixated on "something" happening - obviously the wedding scene. They are all wearing the same type of clothing and the colors are all harmonious which ties the group together. Nice separation of the bodies. You did a good job of post processing to bring out the individual faces and hands. I would have liked to see the hand of the woman in the middle front row remain intact. Great job! Jul 17th
58 Jul 20 Reply Thanks for stopping by Richard- appreciate your feedback. Jul 17th
58 Jul 20 Comment Jim, I like the image as originally presented. In this case the subjects are coming towards you v. running away from you. Several layers of interest that add depth to the image - in the foreground the spouts of water repeat the verticality of the background trees; the diagonals are repeated throughout the image. The running couple are caught in mid air and their limbs are nicely outstretched with great expressions on their faces. Great capture! Jul 17th
58 Jul 20 Comment Daniel - nice color contrast with the orange and green. The saffron robes of the monks are easily identifiable. The reflection doubles the impact of the image and the textures add interest. Others have mentioned cropping the image to a more vertical (portrait) format and I tend to agree…but perhaps also cropping a bit off the bottom of the image to place the concrete foundation on the thirds to act as a horizon line. Nicely done. Jul 17th

63 Jul 20 Comment Hi Richard- saw your image on "Critique" night. Great image, with nice placement of the head on the thirds and good use of depth of field to capture the focus. See that you upgraded your camera (again :)) - why not? Jul 17th
